Pool preparation before use
Steps to set up your pool:
1. Pool cleaning.
2. Coating the pool cover with an anti-algae agent.
3. Filling the pool with water and adjusting the pH.
4. Water disinfection.
5. Water clarification with flocculants, use of anti-algae agents.1. Before first filling or entering a pool, the water should be cleaned. The Bayrol Bordnet Pool Cleaner is a perfect product for this. Concentrated liquid alkaline cleaner easily removes dirt, grease and soot from swimming pools. Spray the product on dirty areas, wait a while and wash with a sponge or cloth.
2. The pool cover impregnation with algaecides, which effectively kill all types of algae, is the next step in pool preparation. Adding algaecides to water alone is ineffective and eventually overwhelms the walls of the pools and does not penetrate the thicker layer of algae. Therefore, it is advisable to apply an anti-sludge coating to the walls of the pools before adding water to it. We recommend Desalgine for regular pools and Desalgine Jet for pools with hydro massage equipment.
3. After adding water to the pool it is necessary to adjust the pH otherwise other chemical treatments will not be effective. The pH of the water should be in the range of 6.8 – 7.4. Strange fact is that the most common problem in Lithuania is excessive pH found in swimming pools; only in very rare cases an increase in pH is required. In case of excessive pH we recommend Bayrol pH – Minus and pH – Plus for pH increase.
4. Disinfection with chlorine is a method usually used to clean the water in swimming pools. Fast dissolving chlorine tablets Chloriklar, which raise the level of chlorine in water very quickly, are used with the addition of water to the pool. For the first time, it is recommended to use a double dose of fast-acting chlorine tablets. For further pool water disinfection, we offer Chlorilong 200, which is used once every 2 weeks.
5. If needed, or when small clouds in the water become visible, we recommend using Superflock flocculant, which increases the volume of the clouds, and which makes it easier for filters to clean them. Similarly, in the case of water greenness, you should use algaecides that fight against algae – Desalgine or Desalgine Jet. These products kill all kinds of algae.

Swimming pool installation.
Pool is an artificial open or covered water body for swimming, sports or recreation. Swimming pools come in a variety of sizes, from small pools at home to large professional swimming pools. Swimming pools can be rectangular, circular or irregular in shape, operating only in summer or year round.
Swimming, water jumping, water polo competitions and exercises are organized in the pools. The oldest pools were built in the 16th century in Japan. The first swimming pool in Europe was built in 1743. The first indoor swimming in Lithuania was installed in 1949. In order to use swimming pools safely and for their intended use, it requires mechanical cleaning of debris, heating, filtration and chlorination of water to remove biologically active pollutants.
In some cases, swimming pool water is treated with electrolysis, ozonation and ultraviolet treatment.
The most common pools are divided into the following categories:
1. By Purpose – for Athletic Training and Competitions; bathing – to serve one-time visitors; educational – for swimming and combined training.
2. By the nature of exploitation – artificial and located in natural water bodies.
3. By the available equipment – open, covered, transformable, mobile and complex. The structure of transformable pools can be replaced so they can be both open and closed. Complex swimming pools have a wealth of functionalities – they can accommodate the needs of sports and bathing.
4. By size, standard sports pools are 25 and 50 m long, 11.4 to 25 m wide. ) and fiberglass (composite materials).
